That was his reasoning in the years before the invasion....he wanted his enemies, real and potential, to worry about the possibility of him having WMD.... That what Bush tried to sell and in fact did sell to the American people. He sold it in the context of Saddam being responsible for 9-11. You may recall that at one time 70% of the nation thought Saddam did 9-11. Where do you think they got that idea?

Monday morning quarterbacking was not necessary.....Blix reported in plenty of time and Bush did not want to find any reason not to invade.
