Ralph: I had an account with Olde for several years. Originally, they were a good discount broker that only acted when I called them.

Then, for some strange reason, they became a pseudo-discount broker and started calling me with trading suggestions. Typically, I'm a buy and hold investor, but do trade/play with some gambling funds. My name kept showing up on their calling lists because I tend to keep a sizable chunk of my portfolio in cash for those bargain basement deals that show up occassionally.

After repeated requests to them to stop calling me and interrupting my wife's day (she wouldn't give them my work phone number), I finally gave them an ultimatum. Flag my account not to be called, or I'm outta' here. That worked fine for about 3 months.

Then, some excited young fella called me on a day when I happened to be working at home. Big mistake. The next day, I transferred all of my funds out of those 2 Olde accounts. I wonder where that young fella is working now?
