They also need to understand the capabilities/limits of whatever system they have. The Microsoft Web pages do advise using NT 4.0 only as "departmental" level machine and UNIX for "enterprise"level. (Yes they actually say that) They claim NT 5.0 will be ready for "enterprise" level scalability.
