I understand how/why the crook Supremes went along with Wickard. Roosevelt was obsessed with increasing Federal Powers with all kinds of new programs and laws and regulations and controls during the depression and without a huge expansion of the interpretation of the Commerce Clause, probably 90% of his programs would have been shot down as being unconstitutional. The problem now of course is we now have to live with the results even though the Great Depression ended nearly 70 years ago. I saw an interview of Clarence Thomas a few years back and he said that 60% of the Federal Government today is unconstitutional due to huge stretches of the Commerce Clause, however, going back now isn't exactly easy and would be very painful. Well the pain is going to happen eventually when the Feds can't borrow or tax anymore.
