Thanks for the suggestion... and that's probably what I'll do tomorrow. My fear is that it's not the battery... $90 later I still have the same problem and the same (bad) options.

As a general consumer satisfaction rule, it seems to me that if you are required to sign up for 24 months of service, then you should get a 24 month warranty. This situation really sucks. I did nothing wrong, took good care of the phone, didn't drop it or anything. It just plain didn't last 24 months as designed or manufactured. Now my choice is to have no phone and pay a hefty bill for 7 months, or pay $400 for the new phone.... with a new 24 month contract (plus an $18 "upgrade fee").

Great product... crappy support. Really. As a consumer I don't expect to be put in this position. If I didn't own the stock with a great profit you could be frying eggs on my forehead.

Genuinely pissed at ATT/Apple.
