Same thing happened by the way... once it cooled down and had no power left I could start it, charge it, and now works perfectly. So, of course, when I bring it in they will say "this is fine".

Yes I called the ATT store where it was purchased. You are right I should start there... and I will tomorrow. Face to face... always works better. The Apple store in my area is a serious downtown drive, something I try to avoid as it takes a couple of hours out of my weekend life... which has value beyond a couple of $100 dollars IMHO.

Just pissed to find myself in this no mans land between warranty and contract. I'll be my normal self by tomorrow. Never had a Mac and my company is slowly, steadily switching from PC to Mac. In a couple of months I think I will be switched... then you will really see me bitch!

Congratulations Allen on your successful procedure. Scary stuff. You handled it with grace. Nice.
