A Nobel Prize winner (Big Bang Theory) en.wikipedia.org became only the second person to win the million dollars on "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader." I was a bit surprised. Of course, he is brilliant, but most of those guys lack breadth of knowledge. He knew astronomy and physics, but did he know who fought the battle of Ayn Jalut? The answer was that he was pretty well rounded and he didn't get any Ayn Jalut quality questions outside his field.

He seemed like a nice guy. He had used his Nobel money to start a scholarship fund. Of course, I can say that as I'm not taking any classes from him.

My favorite comment is that his students didn't think he was smart for "proving" the Big Bang. They figured he was so old, he was just writing down what he saw happen. <G> You would think they'd at least give him credit for coming up with the funky but funny tv series on CBS.
