I use mostly IBs own charting which supports the basic set of technical indicators (RSI, SAR, MA, Fib levels ) but some tweaking is necessary. For assets with little choppiness and strong trends they work best, as expected, for stocks they don´t work very well most of the time.

For example SAR requires longer periods to reduce the number of false signals compared to the default settings.

What it lacks however is a high-pass filter, a kind of noise filter to prune noise from the chart and improve signalling, also DMA is not there as well as application of signals to averages which would be really helpful.

Does anyone have a good pattern recognition tool? Like automatically recognising and filtering japanese or other chart patterns?
