My son is near genius autistic

autisim makes life more difficult in many ways, certainly in dealing with the rest of the population... but it is surprising (or not) how many are genius, near genius, high intelligence, focused intelligence in a certain area...etc. sometimes something is so highly tuned in one part of the brain, other parts are 'ignored'. or something like that. perhaps.

if a parent like you sees the tuned in parts and works with that and not focus on whatever it is that keeps an autistic from perhaps not quite 'fitting in'... makes such a difference.

being 'normal' might make life simpler in ways. beyond that?

waxing here. if I what I've said is out of place or silly, apologies. it's just something I've pondered on often.
