I ran into a situation at a tradeshow in Chicago where we were setting up our booth and needed to run a temporary extension cord. I had the the extension cord and the outlet was about 20' away. When I went to plug in the cord, one of the union booth putter uppers stopped me and said that I needed a union electrician to plug the cord in. However, there were no union electricians onsite that day. So we had to take our equipment back to the hotel room to do the setup.

Just one more example of how unions make our economy less efficient.

And then there was the movie production that I worked on once....OMG...what a joke.
