No driving means giving thought to location, but the time I was in Denver sans car was really quite relaxing. I'd walk or bus to computer or furniture places, then cab back for a few bucks - compare 10 or 20 dollars for a month for cabs to keeping a car? for groceries, I walked 9 long blocks... with no frozen I'd walk home, with frozen and lots of bags, I'd cab for 5 dollars, including decent tip. 1 block to a great cafe. 3 blocks to a place where could have a dinner and read a book, or on Sundays have a beer at the bar and watch the Broncos with a crowd, on Fridays could watch the kareoke folks. 2 blocks to a great park.

when I eventually relocate, it will be to a non-driving place like that. I can drive. I can drive real good. but aside from expense, even if I was rich... that whole making payments every month... to car company, insurance company... that is over my head. i gots to keep it simple. in Denver I paid my rent each month and that was it. the one and only bill. and if I 'forgot', they'd just drop by and ask for it. not like I didn't have it, which they kindly understood. I just 'forgot'. smile.
