Yep Skeeter, you're right.. Would have been FAR BETTER to give it back to the taxpayers, in the form of jobs and re-training. IOW, investing in our work force and citizenry.

All that money was given to the banks who perpetrated the problem through loan origination fraud and very little for the unemployed folks who could no longer afford their mortgage. Bonuses for the bankers, and Welfare and unemployment checks for the masses.

And you know something, I'm not even a Democrat. I've normally sided with Republicans on most issues, but if they can't get behind the idea that their voter base is less important than Wall Street, then it's probably time to vote all the bastards out of office.
