Rather than confusing yourself and trying to sound intellectual about "ontogony recapitulates phylogony"

re: "Did you know at one time school books told children that human embryos recapitulated evolution and passed through fish, amphibian, and reptile stages? What utter nonsense."

Yes, that is nonsense but that is not what ""ontogony recapitulates phylogony" means.....it is stating the theory that the history of the individual repeats the history of the species...ie an animal in its individual development tends to repeat the stages passed through by its ancestors.

However, if you were to study biology you would observe things like tails and gill slits on human embryos... Did you know that some babies are still born with tail remnants?? Dogs will often develop cysts on their necks that are located in the remnants of a gill slit...

Stop trying to weave science into your religion....it doesn't belong there....

In my post I was merely trying to get you to recognize the common structure and organs of all living animals.....does that tell you anything???
