Universal Detection Technology Enters Agreement for Distribution of Biological Weapon Detection Equipment in Israel
Business Wire
Universal Detection Technology (www.udetection.com) (OTCBB: UNDT), a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats and provider of counter-terrorism consulting and training services, announced yesterday that it has signed a distribution agreement with M.D. Peled Consulting & Engineering Services (Israel) Ltd, an Israeli supplier of security technology systems.

Under the new agreement, M.D. Peled will market and distribute Universal Detection Technology's Bio-Weapon Detection Systems to government and private sector users in Israel.

"Universal Detection Technology’s partnership with M.D. Peled is a testament to our commitment to equip organizations in the public, private and commercial sector with the tools to help mitigate the risk of bioterrorism attacks," said Jacques Tizabi, CEO of Universal Detection Technology. "UNDT’s Bioweapons Detection Systems are being used right now by government agencies, defense contractors and first responders on the front lines of areas that experience bioterrorism everyday, both domestically and internationally,” said Tizabi.

M.D. Peled will distribute UNDT’s five agent handheld biodetection kits, which recently received certification by the Department of Homeland Security under the SAFETY Act.

Universal Detection Technology will showcase its TS-10-5-agent biodetection kit at ASIS International 2009 (booth #375) in Anaheim, California September 21–24, 2009. Participants can witness live and taped demonstrations of the biodetection kits. Members of UNDT’s executive team, including R&D and business development, will be present to answer questions about the product and the company.
