We really DO need tort reform across the board and not just in medical cases.

In Canada I believe you have to PAY the defendant for their costs if you lose. That's not a bad idea.

Also, these "class action" suits are often times a FARCE with the lawyers making millions and the plaintiffs getting a few bucks each.

There's a lawyer in our town that advertises with the "enticing claim" that he WON'T make his clients go to court. He'll just get them CASH real quick. WHY would I want a lawyer that advertises that he DOESN'T go to court. Don't the people he's supposed to be going after SEE those commercials???
