A brilliant career ruined by politicians.

A majority of the American people who pay taxes still want to win in Afghanistan. While it is true that they don't understand how long it will take, it is still possible to surge combat operations with the right mix of forces, take out the Taliban and AQ in Afghanistan while selecting some key warlords to back against all of the others. That will be possible, because on battlefields the cream of leadership always rises.

The key Republican leaders in Congress should lead the charge against the American Socialist Party and it's leader while calling for the resignation or firing of Gates and Mullin and an end to the monopoly of the USN/USMC in DOD/NSC. It has damaged this Country's strategy and has helped establish a Model for Failure which has also been supported by many senior US Army leaders. We need to end their game of see no evil, speak no evil, win another star.

The US Army should be required by these same Congressmen to step up to it's responsibility to conduct winning Land Campaigns across the entire Spectrum of Warfare. They are sitting like Baby Huey while the senior leader pissants in the USN/USAF/USMC supported by contractors and captive think tank consultants and writers who will speak as "experts and saviors of the Nation" after they allow Patreaus and McChrystal to fail.

How can this be tolerated? Are these senior leaders wedded to a willingness to fail?
