Up the steroids - The Philly Fed coincident indicator of national economic activity dipped 0.1% MoM in August, to stand at its lowest level in three years. This index is normally a confirmation indicator for the beginning of the next expansion. Not only that, but the diffusion index stood at -50 — though better than -70 it is still indicative of an economy that is extremely weak once the shine from government stimulus is wiped off.
