i grew up in a place where everyone knows politicians are crooks of course, the exception to this belief are the more deeply involved, who simply believe their own lies... after living through the experience of the place blowing up because of their idiocies, allowed by the complacency of the people who they are supposed to 'serve' i thought i was prepared to save me for when this would happen here.... the sad reality is that i found myself being as guilty of the complacency i once laughed at.... and i made it worse because a) i had seen the movie before b) i made the very stupid assumption that ... it could not happen in 'this country' well, i got cured of such stupidity real fast.... and i paid for it.... but i am angry at myself for doubting what at some point i thought we were heading for big trouble.... i am angrier at the whores of wall street because they have given the communist a reason why to piss on capitalism... of course, their behavior is not capitalism... but just like lying cops love to say to their preys.... 'tell that to the judge' as for the politicians... if a disease were to fall upon the entire membership of the US government and die... i will open a very expensive bottle of champagne and celebrate. planet earth became a better place for it. i am trying to look at things from a positive pov... but like karl denninger puts it... the math does not lie.... so you can try to be as romantic and say you will fight for the country from the inside... yeah well... first you have to deal with this tsunami of red ink... there are only two ways how to deal with debt: 1.- you pay it. 2- you default. well... i do not believe this country can pay for the amount outstanding.... (i do not care if you tax everyone 100%) so there is only one option left.... now... once that step is taken and who knows what the consequences will be.... then do the people of this country have the resolve to execute what needs to be done to re-establish a sound, productive society that will once again thrive ? i do not know the answer to that.... but under the current set of circumstances... we are going to hell. i do not give a shit about how many 'green shoots' these idiots talk about..
