Sid,
its a cash flow problem. too many people overlevered to get into the market at 7500/7600 rode it to 8200 and now are at 7500. do you sell some stocks and buy other bargains?

we are between two big nuts. Greenspan wants 2% sales increase for christmas for lowered inflation pressures. This will create an inventory glut for us.

We want high PC sales. This spending may cause and interest rate increase in '98.

tomorrow friday.

another day of selling.

i have a list of stocks i'm going to buy at ridiculous price levels. if i ever get my prices, it'll be like tuesday 9:30am.

ps
the more i think on it, i think guppy is right. S3 may try to display a GX3 board at Comdex if they can make a trial deadline before Comdex. If they miss being ready about 1 week ahead, then they may not display. Because GJ is a Brit, and conservative, i'd say 90-10 he won't display.

it may depend upon how good his distribution channel relations are.
