JFShepard, > So you think there will be not doctor shortage if universal care is not enacted but there will be if it is ???? Is that a political reason????

It's not an "if-then" argument. The shortage of doctors has little to do with universal health care, yet politicians want to connect the two in order to push the biggest expansion of entitlements since FDR.

> What is it in that link that you can show is untrue???

I can't prove anything. I'm just stating my opinion, but my opinion has been formed from knowing plenty of doctors, pre-med and med school students, and residents.

The AMA's claim that they "miscalculated" smells rather fishy to me. Like I said, they can easily import doctors if they really wanted to correct a shortage, but they won't.
