Inferior and cheaper are two different things - the public option will both inferior and cheaper, but over time the cost will skyrocket out of control - it's the one thing government has proven time after time - they cannot manage a business or any program within a budget.

Another myth. You hear about less than 1/10 of 1% of the projects that the government actually does, and the vast majority come in on budget. They have a much better record than the private sector... where you never hear about projects coming in over budget, but they usually do.
