I have. And it ain't perfect. Big industry tends to gravitate toward bigness. But we had a period in between swings where there was a lot of energy in the business and we would NEVER have had the innovation we have had without it. Ma Bell was nothing if not stodgy. I don't really care about re-consolidation as long as there is still meaningful competition and innovation.

PS - Just look at your cable bill... <ggg>

Indeed, that's nothing to grin about. But that's what lack of competition does. Regulation/deregulation is only one aspect. Comcast is the new Bell, at least where I live. I have no choice.
