>$45000 cap huh? A $4000 month apartment. Z, you don't have a clue what poor or needy is.

Hey, I grew up in a lower-middle class family. I've only made realy money the last three years or so. I certainly do know what poor and needy is. Besides, as I've said over and over, $4K doesn't get you crap in Manhattan, but I have to live in Manhattan for my job. My rent eats up like 2/3 of my after-tax income. You probably live better than I do.

And look at car prices these days... a new family minivan often costs more that $30K.

>If you want to help the people that need help buying a car, why wasn't the government assistance offered on used cars? The people that need help probably have declared bankruptcy and would be a single parent, no where near being able to afford a new car especially with their credit.

The idea was to keep the demand for new cars up so that the manufacturing would continue and the auto manufacturers wouldn't implode, potentially eliminating hundreds of thousands of jobs in the short term.

>I see another democrat "for the poor people" Rockefeller has submitted an amendment to eliminate all HSAs and Baucus still wants to tax anyone that can't afford health insurance.

HSAs are a dumb idea. I don't know why Rockefeller would eliminate them, but they're a red herring here. Baucus is a clown from the right wing of the Democratic Party and I don't back him. We'll see if Obama does.

>Screw the poor, the foundation of the democrat party, got to keep the peasants on the plantation.

No, that's what YOU guys do. Your precious Wal-Mart is the precursor to modern feudalism.

>Democrats remain the party of the rich elite only after more power so they can remain in power adn keep getting richer.

Both parties are largely the parties of the rich elite. It's an American reality.

>Have you ever considered what the democrats do instead of swallowing everything they say they want to do?

Some of the Democrats suck. All of the Republicans suck. I'd like to maximize the influence of the good Dems.
