You're in my field now sport.....I was in the silicon device business when we started with one transistor per chip......we now make billions on a chip....ie the technology evolved...a lot of designers were involved but no phantom designer...... Silicon is all over the world's beaches because silicon dioxide doesn't dissolve in water....ever wonder(perish the thought) why the oceans are salty. Maybe that's part of your ID's doing because you can make a vessel you can drink out of from silicon dioxide.
