Slider you are a much more radical conspiracy theorist than I am.

You see a vast conspiracy to destroy American sovereignty and establish a socialist republic.

I don't think anyone can deny the huge financial and political power of the Zionist lobby-- a small minority of Jews who in their entirety account for less than 2% of the US population.

Their prominence in the financial industry and among big donors to both parties is a key reason why so much money was directed at bailing out corrupt financial institutions and so little at helping average folks IMHO.

Their political and economic power also is perhaps the major factor -- along with the military industrial complex -- in pushing the US to invade Iraq and Afpac as well as threaten Iran -- a mortal enemy of the Taliban. Never mind that Israel has hundreds of nukes and Iran none -- A single Iranian nuke in the future is said to pose an "existential" threat to the Jewish state.
