PV,

Taurus, world class V6, twin turbo. 17/25 MPG. And the first of many Ecoboost engines to come.

It's an American car, and Ford did an outstanding job. I see the new stuff everyday, and it is getting better and better. Notice how GM and Chrysler are not included in this statement about American cars.

As for Ford quality. Yes, there was a long, long period of time where Ford quality was not as good. People that believe the Ford has poor quality are basing that on the past. It is valid and correct. But it is also important to look today and judge today. Trust me, Ford takes quality very, very serious. Painfully serious. For example, in August I was beat by chief engineering level personnel for a quality problem THAT WAS NOT EVEN MY PROBLEM. I was, "the player to be named later", and I inherited someone else's mistake. That particular problem was not functional in nature, but it was addressed, defined, root caused, and fixed in record time. This is not an isolated response at Ford.

The Taurus interior is really nice too.

There are choices. Japanese and American choices.
