How many times have YOU broken the Law of Moses--(the LAW FROM GOD)???

Too many times to count. The Law is like a mirror it is designed to show us our flaws but it is powerless to remove the flaws. When I look at the Law I see how far away from God I really am and that I"m helpless to do anything about it. That's the Law; and it can only convict and condemn.

This causes me to flee to the only one who has power to remove the stains of sin by taking the penalty for my sin on Himself by willingly and voluntarily dying on the cross. The effectiveness of this was demonstrated to all when Jesus rose from the dead on the third day. Jesus offers us forgiveness for our sins that we could never accomplish by ourselves and He does so on the basis of faith alone, apart from any thing that we could do to earn forgiveness.

That's the Gospel; and that's why: "I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith.""
