<that's the spin> That is a fact -- I saw it with my own eyes. In those days, 25 years ago, they wanted to be completely out of public view to avoid the circus they knew would follow. They worked under various auspices -- the best known being the Swedish Academy of Sciences. they came from all over the world in the hundreds -- the best and the brightest -- pure research dedicated scientists. That is what you and so many don't get. There was no rush to judgement -- in fact many of them felt guilty for not going public sooner.
