we seemed to have reversed positions. I live off grid because it makes economic sense and has the benefit of using less oil(fits in with my anti war position), makes me less dependent on society in general, provides a safety net in times of crisis, esthetically pleasing(no power lines), etc. But you strongly believe in GW yet live as if you could care less. That pretty much validates my 99% theory. i also believe that as the leader of the country does, so does the populace. Obama, Bush, Gore, Clinton and on and on have done nothing to constrain America's dependence on foreign oil. Hubble's theory is proven fact w/o credible dispute, yet we are willing to send our kids to the ME in a f%%%ed up attempt to seize oil from it's rightful owners so we can keep on consuming... You go on and pontificate. My life is more about doing what I believe is right and practical today than waiting for the gov't to tell me what to do. The first step isn't to acknowledge anything. It's to act. IOW, actions speak louder than words.
