What: you can't read the dictionary? Only a willfully ignorant person with a horse in the race, would equate "The act or an instance of putting to death or being put to death as a lawful penalty." with murder.

(((As far as condemning the rich man for watching a man starve to death while he ate and drank I think God is completely justified to judge the man accordingly.)))

Just for the record...the context of the passage strongly implies exactly that; and anyone who is not so emotionally invested in the need for a contrary outcome, sees that right away.
