If you want a stable food industry, price supports are one way to guarantee that......there are limits however and farmers take advantage of them.... Tobacco supports should have been phased out years ago.... I gather you would not support agriculture and would prefer to import everything from Asia where you think they have huge surpluses??? Are supports what you call nationalizing the food industry??? Do we have something called the FDA???? Should we kill that agency??? Can you tell me any major business or agency that does not have federal support or regulations????
