9/25/09 update
Perhaps it was all those foreigners in the Big Apple for the UN whoop-de-doo that had the Bulls lying low. In any case, for a change, the Bears had a winning week. At Friday's close, the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 33.04% CYTD, or Contest Year To Date, (vs. up 35.71% CYTD a week ago), the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 16.65% CYTD (vs. up 19.30% CYTD a week ago), while the Contest median closed up 23.46% CYTD (vs. up 29.50% CYTD a week ago).
There was no change in the order of the top three Contest leaders although each of the portfolios had a losing week. The week's closing CYTD percentages are: RKRW up 133.35%, GENE up 81.79%, NIGEL up 79.64%.
At Friday's close, 26 of the 32 Contest portfolios were in the black and 20 of the 32 were beating the NBI.
Enjoy September's final weekend biotechies!
