I think I understand aapl very well.

Must of consumed every menu item offered at least once @ Cafe Mac.

I don't think Steve is even involved day to day with the retail division and is immune from the issues involved since he is in his own world. The appl grunts at the stores are fabulous who are doing a impossible job under the circumstances.
Lets face it, aapl corporate management have gotten greedy and are pushing the stores to achieve these insane metrics which is a smack of micro managing. These poor souls are asked to achieve the revenue goals and not being rewarded for their effort. The lion share of the retail management staff are recycled veterans from other retailers who do not know how to mange a store to begin with such as scheduling labor properly, hiring their cronies from their last gig and not able to provide leadership and mentoring the talent in the grunt pool.

Don't know the long term consequences, but the walls have cracked with dissent and will linger until the next breaking point.
