IED Jammer contract awards - nothing for Allen-Vanguard

Either one of these contracts awarded yesterday could have demonstrated market confidence - as Allen-Vanguard seems to be challenged of late when it comes to contract sales.

Too bad they couldn't devote resources towards winning bids, and making sales - too much effort spent in other "strategies".

First RF Corp.*, Boulder, Colo., is being awarded an $11,217,765 firm-fixed-price indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contractfor antennas to support the CREW (Counter Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Device Electronic Warfare) Vehicle Receiver Jammer (CVRJ) System. The CVRJ system is used to counter continuous and evolving improvised explosive device threats. Acquisition of the antennas will provide spares to replace antennas damaged during operations. Work will be performed in Boulder, Colo., and is expected to be completed by September 2011. Contractfunds in the amount of $5,909,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured and the solicitation was not posted to Federal Business Opportunities. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity (N00164-09-D-WQ20).

SRCTec, Inc., Syracuse, N.Y., was awarded on Sept. 23, 2009 a $53,216,250 firm-fixed-price contract. This is an undefinitized contract action is being issued for the procurement of 1851 each urgently required Duke V2 systems. Work is to be performed in Syracuse, N.Y., with an estimated completion date of Apr. 30, 2010. Sole Source bids were solicited with one bid received. CECOM Acquisition Center, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (W15P7T-05-D-S205).

SAIC is relocating to Virginia to be closer to the US Military Dept's - I wouldn't be surprised if they get a MEGA-huge CBRNE contract soon, (>$1 billion) which could work into some revenue for Allen-Vanguard.

Let's hope they do much better going forward - they will need big funds to pay our claims...maybe EDC would lend them a little extra more money to buy us out now ?

I'd settle now for .50 a share - my price is rising as more "crap" surfaces, and the longer I wait
