To those with little time: Below an email you can fire off to the media, politicians, special interest groups. Ideally modify it a bit. It will get more attention than the "cookie cutter" version. Hi, I am a Allen-Vanguard shareholder and I believe that this rather unique story deserves attention from you, "XYZ", as it doesn’t just affect A-V shareholders but raises serious questions for all shareholders of public Canadian companies. The story was picked up by the Financial Post and the Ottawa Business Journal, has been reported to the OSC and various other government agencies / special interest groups and has attracted the attention of Siskinds LLB, a law firm which specializes in class actions. While I understand that public forums are not an accepted source for the media etc, this public forum on Silicon Investor does provide some good information regarding this (rather ambiguous) deal and the shareholder actions taken so far.
