The bank bailouts and the stimulus plan are two distinctly different things. Bush was for the bailouts as they are prima facie loans and equity, instead of outright handouts. The stimulus is outright handouts for a lot of stuff that makes no sense, wastes money, delays economic growth, and continues to destroy the dollar. I look at it as Obama and the 'crats payoff to the people who they feel didn't get enough from the economy in good times. Its a method to distribute wealth. And no, Bush nor McCain imo would have done a stimulus.
