The battery isn't swappable, but replacing it is quite easy.

Yeah. Piece of cake. You remove the 13 Philips screws on the bottom cover, the three tri-wing security screws that hold the battery in place, and then remove the battery, thereby voiding your warranty. Or, you can give up some of your limited, precious breathing time on this earth, by driving to your nearest Apple store, and if the battery is over one year old, and you did not buy AppleCare, pay close to $200 to have it replaced. Quite easy indeed. Could not be easier. Oh, and prepare to rinse, lather and repeat. My present MacBook Pro is on battery number four. Let my fingers do the walking for all four of them. May not seem quite as easy as the new improved system to you, but hey, worked for me.
