The best bet is a Macintosh and an Applecare policy.

Been pounding away at my Dell mini 9 hackintosh for months now. Dropped it even, from table level. Flawless. Nothing like solid state drives. As you know, AppleCare runs $250 for a MacBook, $350 for a MacBook Pro. My hackintosh cost $400. I paid too much for an out of the box working hackintosh because I wanted to buy and drive, without dicking around with the OS X install. Could be had for less than that now. Likely for about the cost of AppleCare.
