I rode in the back of a friend's Fit the other day. I don't know how Honda does it, but the car seems bigger on the inside than the outside.

I was talking to some Honda salespeople at a car show the other day, complaining about how the Civic, which I used to love, is now as big as an Accord, and the Accords are even bigger. They also tried to sell me a Fit, but I told them I just buy used cars.
