Show me where it has been documented or widely excepted that conservatives think they can make people like us bombing them. You can't its a straw man. Just today I was listening to Sean Hannity and then some fellow who was filling in for Glenn Beck...both of them wailing about General McChrystal's policy he discussed last night on 60 mins, a) consisting of absolute regard for civilian casualties, even at higher risk for our soldiers, and b) using a more enlightened approach to Afghanistan by working with villagers to win favor....both commentators absolutely up in arms...the first blaming Obama for McChrystal's "ridiculous" approach to a war and the second by standing for the point that you win wars by killing "more of them than they do of you" ... and "in the end, the one with more soldiers wins"... I can make similar cases for the other points....conservatives believe these things...do all of them believe them, no...but a significant portion of your base does...not exactly cerebral...if you know what I mean.
