I did write that poem, in my head, while sitting on the spot I chose for Dad's ashes. Mom just went to it with my sister, and I took her there earlier this summer. She always sits quietly on that little bench, remembering what a wonderful marriage they had. She's still in love with him, even though she's been married now for almost fifteen years to a man who was an old family friend she met even before Dad. It's difficult for her to get to the spot, even though it's only a few yards from the house. We keep the trail cleared out. Thank you for your kind words. Especially from you, that means a lot.
