CSCO dwn 0.7%, ASND dwn 7.25%, COMS dwn 6.94%, CS dwn 5.48%. All the major NWs are dwn. Regarding ASND, the short now has an upper hand coupled with tax write-off selling to offset huge gain from mutual funds keep a lid on stock. The fundamentals remain positive w/ good visibility. As the 4th qtr draws near, if mgmt comes out and says it's comfortable w/ the qtr, the upgrades will follow. This scenario may alleviate the pressure on stock. I know it has been hard on everyone, but ASND is now trading not on fundamentals but on FUD and bearish market tone. MMs will be back in droves when they realize that ASND is a steal at this level considering ASND's leading market position in Remote access, and WAN carrier. For those who think ASND is 1 product company, which is furthest from the truth. Check out: ascend.com
