I still can't get over how, with hindsight now, when the iPhone was first introduced, almost everyone had a "WTF does Stevie think he's doing" moment.
Having read what you said, and remembering this thread was all abuzz when the iPhone was first mentioned, I just finished revisiting the iPhone posts here, from 2006 and a few earlier. My memory is correct. Overall, most everyone here looked at the iPhone idea positively, some said they wanted it, and the anticipation excitement was palpable.
