A national championship is not so far fetched for VT this year assuming we keep winning game after game. One of the knocks against BCS is that you have to start the season near the top of the rankings and hang in there to reach National Championship. Finally, VT has strength-of-schedule in its favor this year with no FCS opponents to screw it up either. Not only have USC, Ohio State, Cal, Penn State and Oklahoma dropped below Tech but it is almost certain LSU will lose one of next two games. SEC conf game will knock out either Forida or Alabama. VT already has the odds in its favor to win the Coastal div of ACC and certainly has good chance to beat anyone in the ACC title game (unless BC pulls another 14 pt miracle drive in the last 2:07 as in 2007). Oh, to fix my error, I will be rooting for #8 Oklahoma to keep its ranking until Miami beats them. U think that still helps our S.O.Sched. Even Coach Beamer said this might be our year: espn.go.com
