GST, CA is one one of the progressive states in environmental restriction. the result? an estimated $134k tax on small business annually. kcra.com CA is 49th in business environment and the latest big name casualty is SAIC - they will be moving their headquarters out of san diego. this is great news for a state with an effective unemployment of 18%. i view CA as the destination desired by the current administration - so "WELCOME to paradise! and make that $134k check out to..." yes, a significant gas tax increase would hurt lots of people very badly.
