Apparently you think the loss of the poker player and the porn producer would be MORE of a loss to society. Society has made that judgement by allowing variances in earnings. Under advanced Obamanomics that will not be allowed to happen. Right now a poker player making $500k a year would get more than a doctor making $100k a year. Right now a doctor making $500k a year would get more than a poker player making $10k a year. So what is your point? Doctors on average make more than most gamblers. Most people would agree that doctors make a larger contribution to society. The cost to society of their loss would be greater. Yet you want them to be compensated less? As far as the teacher it is a great credit to society that the supply of people wanting to teach is great. The economic law of supply and demand keeps their earnings down. On a humanistic level the loss to each of their families is tragic and I morn for each person who is taken from their family.
