That is not true. The things you just refuse to understand is the interaction between the individual and the societythey live in..

Society! People live in a society and the strength and health of that society directly affects the health and welfare of the individual.

Individuals benefit from a strong healthy and safe society. That often requires the reditribultion of wealth e.g. education, roads, sewers, clean water, universal medical insuance, police, firemen and military.

You cannot say something the government is doing is hurting someone if it helps the society they live in. E.g. the rationing during WWII (you could say that hurt all the people considering what they had to sacrifice), but it saved us from being ruled by Japan and Germany by building up our military.

And I believe it is impossible for a society to put more money into education than it will get out. And when a society strenegthens the weak with education and even food, they become strong and can help the society, whether it be to fight a war or build a company.

And there is general humanity. I do not want to even live in a socieity that does not consider basic human dcency.

And I would have never accepted a dinner invitation from Ayn Rand. I avoid those types of people.

As I said: Great individual values. You haven't shown how your individual philosophy (or feeling or whatever) can be rationalized in a political system without an objective logic to support it. You have not demonstrated who the "weak" are or who the "Government" should help or hurt?? HAVE YOU???

Because everything the "Government" does HURTS SOMEBODY.<<
