Many live in metropolitan areas and may tend to be liberal.

They actually had a breakdown for urban and rural... and yes the support % was slightly higher in urban areas... but not that much.

Does this mean they are the most credible segment of the population to advise about a major political decision which will determine healthcare - and the role of Government - for generations to come?

Probably better than the general population. The other thing is they may presume that more people will be covered... which would be good for business.

Still I was raised in a family of Docs, some politically active, and being against 'socialized medicine' was a 100% conviction. Things seem to have changed.
