Good example with the lion. I was thinking rattle snake earlier but left it out.

In this case we are dealing with a nature that we should just learn to accept and respect. The child perv-rapist probably falls into that category as well but with naughty children behaviour or adult human crimes such as theft, abuse, neglect etc there is the presumption that people should be able to get second chances or restarts. It would be dumb to just tell criminals they are forgiven and continue as though it was a done deal. So the resolution toward reconciliation is employed and within that we must consider forgiveness of the bad deed. This is what I was referring to.

I'm sorry I started with the example of perv-rapist. That was a mistake since I don't believe heinous criminals are ever reconcilable, there is something in their character or our ability to trust them that is forever damaged by such acts.
