I do put things into perspective, which is why I don't worship at the alter of left wing extremism or any other artificial authority of our day. I support good ideas and just causes with some guarded skepticism for extremisms. I try to be objective and have a broad perspective about the transitory 'movements' of any period. I've given you the statistics on violence, rape, and assault, more than once ... did you blow that off thoughtlessly? Frankly, yes you did. That's just one social ill. We could focus on any of a dozen others. Well they are essentially tied to the social engineering of our generation. An anthropologist of the future would not just blow it off and call it progressive. She would draw the lines of cause and effect and be horrified that we have done these things to people. The numbers are far greater, the harm far more severe than the material issues you listed. You ignore them to be able to shine your light on the politics, progressive accomplishments and changes in the world you are proudest of, no less than plantation owners of the past.
